How coverage works across Peel
The service list covers Mandurah and Peel localities, including Pinjarra and Waroona. Pinjarra is in the Shire of Murray, not the City of Mandurah. Select one of the six linked local guides below for the supplied suburb history and service links; the other localities remain listed for coverage.
Each locality listed below is covered for fence, roof, shed, garage and carport work. For specifics, see fence removal, roof removal and the cost guide.
What to tell us when you enquire
- Your suburb and street.
- What needs to come out: fence, roof, shed or garage.
- A rough size or length.
- Whether access is through a gate or across a garden.
Rules apply wherever you live
In Western Australia a Class A licence covers every type of asbestos, friable material included, while a Class B licence covers non-friable (bonded) material only. Bonded work over 10 m² needs a licensed removalist. The current rules sit on the WorkSafe WA asbestos licences page.
Householders may remove up to 10 m² of non-friable asbestos under the household exemption. That is a legal threshold, not a recommendation to do it yourself, and it never applies to friable material. The 10 m² counts the whole project, so a job cannot be split into smaller pieces to stay under it.
Class A work also needs an independent licensed assessor to carry out air monitoring and the clearance inspection. Read WorkSafe WA guidance on asbestos removal and disposal before you commit to any plan.
